Terms of Service

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Implicit Academics, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.

2. Accounts and under-18s

• Keep your login details secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
• If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must set up the account and is responsible for payment and for agreeing to these terms on the student's behalf.
• Provide accurate information, and keep it up to date.

3. Free access

The first topic of every subject is free to use, along with a limited number of AI tutor questions each day. We may adjust what's included in the free tier over time, but we'll always keep a meaningful free sample.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid access is sold per subject. Stage 1 and Stage 2 are separate subjects. You choose the subjects you want and are billed monthly or annually as selected.
• Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Prices shown at checkout are the prices you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method each period.
• We may change prices; if we do, we'll give existing subscribers notice, and the new price applies from your next renewal.

5. Cancellations and refunds

• Cancel anytime from the billing portal in your account, or by emailing us. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for; it simply won't renew.
• 14-day guarantee: if you're not happy within 14 days of starting a paid plan, email admin@implicitacademics.com and we'll refund that payment.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that cannot be excluded.

6. Discount codes

Discount codes are subject to their own limits (such as a single use or an expiry date) and can't be exchanged for cash. We may withdraw a code if it's misused.

7. Acceptable use

Please use the service honestly and for your own study. You agree not to:

• Share your account so others avoid paying, or resell access.
• Copy, scrape, or redistribute our questions, theory or other content.
• Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Our content

All lessons, questions, hints, and materials on Implicit Academics are our intellectual property (or used with permission) and are provided for your personal study only. Your own progress data belongs to you.

9. The AI tutor

The optional AI tutor is a study aid that can make mistakes. It's meant to guide your thinking, not to be an authoritative source, and it shouldn't be your only reference. Always check important answers against your teacher and official materials. Don't enter personal or sensitive information into the chat.

10. No guarantee of results

We work hard to align our content with the SACE subject outlines and the Australian Curriculum, and to keep it accurate. But we can't guarantee any particular exam mark or outcome, and the platform supplements school and tutoring rather than replacing them. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it.

11. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing here excludes rights or guarantees that can't legally be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law; where we're permitted to limit liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and notify account holders of significant changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms. Questions: admin@implicitacademics.com.
